Duct smoke
detection system

System summary

  • In respect of Korean regulation of building’s evacuation & fire protection 14th article paragraph 3, fire damper must provide automatic shut and open function when fire or smoke is detected. So it is mandatory to install duct smoke detector and when it detects fire or smoke it should be shut automatically.
  • The system provides sampling of air flow within the duct and it detects smoke particle. When the system detects smoke particle it activates fire alarm and fire protection damper in order to block air flow of specific area for preventing diffusion of smoke and fire.
